Evergreen jodis of bollywood..

                                                          Raj Kapoor and Nargis

The intense passion that the original showman and the actress shared is a part of the folklore now. The couple did 16 films together, six of which were directed by Raj Kapoor.
Nargis is said to have fallen for the blue-eyed charmer, even though he was a married man, even during the making of their first film together, Aag in 1949.The association came to an abrupt ending in the late '50s when Nargis moved on to another colleague Sunil Dutt who offered her marriage.

                                               Dilip kumar and Madhubala

Sparks flew when the queen of Bollywood, Madhubala, met the ruggedly handsome actor par excellence Dilip Kumar.
The Dilip Kumar Madhubala affair was a relationship which saw romance at its peak both on and off screen, later catapulting in a direction which caused grief not just to them, but to their fans and well wishers too.
The controversial end of their courtship saw Dilip Kumar profess his undying love for Madhubala in true Bollywood style in the court room where he said ‘I shall love her until the day she dies’. They never spoke to each other again after that episode.

                                                         Amitabh and Rekha

The sizzling affair between 'Superstar of the Millennium' Amitabh Bachchan and the Bollywood's eternal temptress Rekha remains unparalleled. The affair provided enough material for gossip tabloids to run their business for a few good years - that is not surprising given Rekha's penchant for loving her men with wild abandon.Gossip magazines thrived on the affair. Juicy titbits such as the news of Jaya catching the couple at one of their early morning rendezvous and slapping the other woman appeared with amazing regularity in all leading tabloids. Though she refused to acknowledge the affair in public, Jaya said that if Amit were cheating on her, his conscience would eventually get the better of him and straighten him out.
Jaya's words rung true - Amitabh the star and the good husband had to buckle under severe media and family pressure. Around the time that 'Silsila' captured this torrid love affair, the couple split. It was the end of one of the most passionate affairs both on and off screen. The glamour attached to the couple is such that even today when any of the trio is seen in one place, the camera crews never fail to capture their reactions towards one another. While Mr. and Mrs. Bachchan now present the picture of a happy family nurturing their son Abhishek's career, Rekha does about a film a year guarding her private life with amazing severity.

                                                    Dharmendra and Hema Malini

This is the only reel life jodi that made it to real life too..

There were two actors madly in love with Hema Malini, who eventually proposed marriage to her, only to find themselves rejected: Sanjeev Kumar and Jeetendra. Prior to these two incidents, Hema and Dharam were long-time industry buddies, one helping out the other when in need. In fact, Hema was a very shy person in nature, and the only way of talking to her was for you to personally go up to her and start a conversation - which is precisely what Dharam did. Hema always claimed that when she first met Dharam, she told herself that if she were to marry, he would have to be someone like Dharam - not solely based on physical appearance, but personality-wise as well. Fast forward to the mid- to late-seventies. Hema and Dharam - despite working with each other for five straight years on various projects - fall in love with each other on the set of Sholay. Years later, through mutual agreements and conversations, Hema tells her parents of her fondness toward Dharam, and would like to marry him. Her parents, evidently, oppose to the proposal. Hema's father even tells her that if and when she marries him, she will be very unhappy and, as a strong believer of karma, claims that the actions she would later take would come back to haunt her. (On the same note, Hema later related Dharam's change of home between that of her and of Prakash (his first wife) to that of his father's words: that she would not be happy. She said that granted the freedom and the extra time provided for her dance shows and various other activities, she always wished for Dharam to stay with her officially.)

                                                   Shahrukh Khan and Kajol

Although they are not a real couple.
Kajol is happily married to Ajay Devgan and Shahrukh is married to Gauri but still there is something about this pairing on screen that we go crazy over them.
This is an on screen pairing that has been successful everytime they have came together.
Dilwale dulhaniya le jayenge, karan arjun, bazigar,My name is Khan, kuch kuch hota hai are some of their superhit movies.
